(This is a thread that will explain the arcane magic with which the Six Lost Weapons were forged. Your teacher will be Jade (begrudingly, of course), who has the most extensive knowledge on such things. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask for clarification. That's what the thread's here for.)

Ah, so it appears there are some dull people in the world that are not educated on fonons and the branching theories of it...and here I thought I might have a day off. Dear me...
Ahem. Anyway. Sit down and I shall divide the theories into more bite-sized morsels that your brain can comprehend. Listen well and take notes, because I hate teaching. I normally don't impart knowledge.
First off, lets start with a list of terms.
Field of Fonons
- Fomicry
Fonic Artes
Fonic Hymn
Fonist
Fonon
Fon Slot
- Fontech
Grand Fonic Hymn
- Hyperresonance & Second-Order Hyperresonance
- Replica
Contamination Effect
- Daathic Fonic Artes
[/s] [/li][li]Curse Slot[/s] [/li][li] Fonon Frequency[/li][li]Perfect Isofons [/li][li] Fon Slot Seal[/li][li]Fonic Sight [/li][/ul] Know that not all of those are in specific order, but they are meant to be a sort of rubric for what I am going to tell you concerning fonons. First off, let's explain fonon theory. The fonic theory states that particles of sounds that shall henceforth be known as fonons comprise matter in addition to atomic particles. Ambient fonons can also be drawn in through the areas known as Fon Slots and after being collected, can be used to create spells known as Fonic Artes. There are seven types of fonons in all, and based on how they interact with atoms, these are the sort of elements they can become. First Fonon: Darkness Second Fonon: Earth Third Fonon: Air/Lightning Fourth Fonon: Water/Ice Fifth Fonon: Fire Sixth Fonon: Light Seventh Fonon: Sound It might seem strange that the Seventh Fonon is classified as sound, but in all actuality, it's classification would be more accurately named as healing. I will explain how that works later. At any rate, the theory of fonons explains how they work in harmony with atoms in creating matter. This gives rise to an inherent sound frequency in everything, which is defined as the "fonon frequency." The frequency is much like the fingerprint in that it cannot be the same in any two organic or inorganic things. Now that we know the theory, I'll explain how one can utilize them for fonic artes. By the way, forgive me if this seems rather bare as far as explanations. I dislike them.[/b][/font]

Lesson 2 ~Fonic Artes~
Fonic artes are very much like normal spells, but rather than using one's own magical energy to cast, fonic artes predominantly use fonons. Now, the human body doesn't use it's own innate fonons to cast unless it absolutely has to. If someone were to do that, it would defeat the efficiency of fonic artes entirely. Instead of using it's own fonons, the body uses certain points to absorb fonons from around it. Those are known as ambient fonons. Depending on your surroundings, certain ambient fonons may be easier to find. For example, if you are near a fire, then Fifth Fonons would be easier to draw in, and if you were near the base of a mountain, perhaps Second Fonons would be easier to find. The reason for this is obvious--fonons of a certain element tend to center around something that is its element. Fire of course, being the fire element. Dormant ambient fonons can be drawn in and converted to the correct fonon type for the coinciding arte one is trying to cast as well, but it takes longer. Therefore, casting a Fourth Fonon arte near a body of water would shorten the casting time.
I explained already that one may absorb ambient fonons from around them into their body. This is done by utilizing the fon slots of the body. Fon slots are, quite simply, areas in which the body is able to draw in sound particles. These haven't all been pinpointed, but the predominant ones are the arms and eyes, with the eyes being the largest on the body. By opening these slots, one can draw in the fonons, convert them as necessary, and then speak the associative fon verse for the arte they wish to cast. A fon verse is a string of words that coordinates a command to the fonons you have gathered and activates the arte. It's much like an incantation for a spell.
Several fon verses were created in a way that they were meant to be sung. These harmonies are referred to as fonic hymns. Very few of them are actually powerful enough to contend with the powers of real fonic artes, but there is a set of seven created to match and even surpass the powers of normal fonic artes. These are known as Yulia's Fonic Hymns, because the first to learn and use all seven was a woman named Yulia Jue. The seven individual hymns have their own powers, but those powers may only be unlocked if one knows the symbolism behind the songs. Since they are spoken in an ancient tongue, it was hard to understand them. That was, after all, the creator's intention. To add to the power of the hymns, singing them in order altogether, one creates a larger hymn known as the Grand Fonic Hymn. This hymn has the power to summon the sentience of the Seventh Fonon, known by the name of Lorelei. I'll explain the sentiences of the fonons later. Suffice it to say that the Grand Fonic Hymn is extremely powerful. However, since the final hymn uses the Seventh Fonon, I am unable to use it. Quite a pity, really...
The final part of this particular lesson goes over Fields of Fonons. What is a Field of Fonons, you ask? Well, when one casts enough mid-level fonic artes or if one casts even a single high-level fonic arte, then a field of the particular fonon element will appear for a brief time. This means that there are converted ambient fonons hovering in the air that one can use to enhance fonic artes. Allow me to use an example.
Say I were to cast Stalagmite, a mid-level Second Fonon arte. A midsize ring of unconverted and converted fonons would appear at the site of the attack, which isn't much use at all. It'd probably dissipate before I could cast another Stalagmite, or perhaps another cast might make it useful. But I am impatient and don't wish to bank on a chance. Instead, I opt to cast Ground Dasher, a high-level Second Fonon arte. Now I'm in business, with a ring containing fully converted fonons. By stepping into the ring and absorbing the fonons as I cast an arte such as...hm...let's say Splash, a mid-level Fourth Fonon arte. If I were to cast Splash within a Second Fonon based Field of Fonons, then it would combine both of the elements and bolster the power of Splash into something more powerful: Icicle Rain. Figuring out which artes and Fields of Fonons are compatible is up to you. There wouldn't be any fun in revealing it, now would there~?
Anyway, now that you know what fonic artes and hymns are, you should now know that those who use fonic artes in battle are called Fonists, and those who use hymns are Hymnists. Pretty simple.
The next lesson will cover the Contamination Effect.

Lesson 3 ~The Contamination Effect~ I realize the title states that this lesson is about the Contamination Effect, but before we begin, there are two points I must cover.
First off, in the last lesson, I forgot to specify what exactly a Fon Slot Seal was. A Fon Slot Seal is pretty much what it sounds like. It is a small, cube-shaped object that has the ability to close off all the fon slots of the body. Doing so greatly limits the abilities of a fonist as far as drawing in fonons, but there is actually a small way around the block itself. It cannot fully close off the eyes, since they are the largest fon slot, and are needed to see, as it was. Thus, novice artes can be used, and with strenuous effort, perhaps a mid-level arte can be cast every once in a while. However, one should be mindful of the fact that ones' blood fonons are now supplying most of the power. Thus, the Seal blocks efficiency. What makes it more...annoying, to say the least, is the fact that the Fon Slot Seal is tedious to undo. It does not wear off. Rather, it is almost like a code that changes in intervals. Only one with innate fonon abilities would be able to remove it successfully, and most would need assistance to remove it. Fon Slot Seals are also able to be incorporated into objects, such as armbands, in order to disrupt fonon intake. This can easily be remedied by removing the accessory. The downside to true Fon Slot Seals is that they take an enormous amount of money to manufacture--almost ten percent of a country's budget. Thus, they are not painfully common.
Now that I've explained that, I digress to my second point: I have decided to cross off on the list what I have discussed, and so that is done. Also, in my finite wisdom, I neglected to add a certain forbidden arte. It's there now Mind you, since it is forbidden, I shan't be sharing enough information for one to apply it to themselves.~<3
At any rate, now we move on to the true point of this lesson, the Contamination Effect.
The Contamination Effect is a title given to the process of fonons and atoms seperating and/or dissipating. This may not seem very important, but it can affect a great many things, such as when concerning fomicry, hyperresonance, or perfect isofons--all of which I have not yet discussed. So, steering back on course, the Contamination Effect has nothing to do with actual fonic artes, really. However, it can be used in combination with fusion to disassemble things, fuse them in that particle state to something else as a layer, and then reassemble when needed. The process for doing this is very dangerous, and something that I put myself at great risk to perfect. That is, I can disassemble my spear completely, fuse it to the outer layer of my right arm, then reassemble it correctly for my own use. This can be done very quickly both ways.
The risk I ran by learning to do something like that was the loss of my sanity. To be more specific, the process that could have done that is known as neural contamination. Neural contamination is the process in which the mind begins to degenerate due to the Contamination Effect acting on it. At first, it remains in the mind, causing insanity. It quickly spreads to the body afterwards, dissipating the matter until there is nothing left of a person's existence. Therefore, I wouldn't suggest trying anything I've done if you want to live. <3

Lesson 4 ~Daathic Fonic Artes~
In a direct branch from normal fonic artes, Daathic Fonic Artes were born. A Daathic Fonic Arte is simply a curse arte, used against an enemy in order to possibly incapacitate, control, or otherwise put them at a disadvantage for a longer period of time than a normal arte. These techniques can vary from sealing a person's artes, lowering their defensive or offensive powers, knocking them out, or even indirectly controlling their actions.
One such arte that can control the actions of a person somewhat is known as a curse slot. This is actually the applying of a special fon slot to the body, usually on the arm. To apply it, one must carve the corresponding array directly to the skin. Depending on the array, it may be seen for what it is or simply as an injury. Either way, a curse slot is extremely difficult to remove. Once it has been placed on a person, the most common effect it has is to remove all inhibition and amplify the memories of the affected in a way that would make them attack even a comrade. For example, should one of your comrades have born a former grudge towards you, than the slot would amplify that memory and the loss of inhibition may lead them to attack you.
I admit my knowledge on curse artes is very limited, so you must forgive me. It is an obscure branch of fonic artes that I have not fully studied...
