Appearance: Tall and pretty skinny. Has chestnut-colored hair that stops at about the middle of his back and has red eyes. He also wears glasses. His outfits vary from either a regular greenish-blue military uniform, a brown outfit with boots and a red cape, or an Oriental style white outfit.
Personality: Jade is extremely sarcastic and tends to say things only to annoy others. Despite that, he's very honorable and speaks the truth as he sees it (however bluntly). He doesn't take offense to it, but if one underestimates him, he does tend to fight a little harder.
Powers: Uses fonic artes, or spells centered around using sound particles. He can properly use the First through Sixth Fonons--Darkness, Ground, Air/Lightning, Water, Fire, and Light--but is unable to harness the Seventh, which is healing. His artes are all personally created. Another thing that he's good at, though it can't exactly be called a power, is martial arts. Although he never achieved a top rank since he was discharged from the military, he did manage to learn Tae Kwon Do up to about brown belt level, along with self-defense.
Weapons: Artes, and his newfound spear, Blood Pain
History: There isn't much known about Jade Curtiss other than the fact that he was dishonorably discharged from the military for some reason or other when he was nineteen. His mastery over fonic artes is so startlingly good--given that they are very ancient artes that are rarely used today--that some scholars often wonder whether he might be descended from a very old family of practicers. The Curtisses are not such a family.
